With CI, which stands for Corporate Identity, Diamond Version are fighting back against consumerist culture latent with brand slogans and insidious advertising. The band's debut album pairs blistering electronic rhythms, deconstructed techno and dread static with clipped slogans borrowed from advertising and marketing, in both lyrics and track titles such as "Science For A Better Life" and "Access To Excellence." Neil Tennant on “Were You There”.)
8.    ENO & HYDE-“HIGH LIFE” (7/1)
9.    FLESH EATERS-“A MINUTE TO PRAY A SECOND TO DIE” (1981/2014 REMASTERED & REISSUED) (7/1) (***The Flesh Eaters is the name behind one Chris Desjardins a.k.a. Chris D. Taking his stage name from a 1964 cult film, Chris D. wrote for legendary fanzine Slash in the late '70s and assembled the first of many Flesh Eaters lineups from heavyweights in the burgeoning L.A. punk scene. After releasing a ravenous EP and heart-ripping debut album, The Flesh Eaters unleashed their era-defining statement, A Minute to Pray A Second to Die.Originally released in 1981, A Minute to Pray brings together the greatest band in American rock history: Dave Alvin (Blasters) on guitar, John Doe (X) on bass, Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) on sax, along with Bill Batemen (Blasters) and DJ Bonebrake (X) providing the album's trademark percussive backbone. Chris D. leads the group like a man possessed. Through a series of grotesque vignettes, his lyrical prowess and indelible growl stand toe-to-toe with the music's powerful shifts. From opener "Digging My Grave" (resembling a diesel-charged Magic Band) to the gothic groove of "Divine Horsemen," each song is its own hairy beast. Inspired by African tribal music, '60s garage-rock churn and Funhouse-era Stooges swing, A Minute to Pray remains (according to author / archivist Byron Coley) "the best rock record ever recorded."This first-time vinyl reissue and long out-of-print CD release has been carefully remastered and features liner notes by Coley. Without a doubt, The Flesh Eaters will hypnotize a new flock of listeners in this millennium.)

15. VACANT LOTS-“DEPARTURE” (7/1)
16. STEVE WYNN-“SKETCHES IN SPAIN” (7/1) (Steve Wynn (The Dream Syndicate) has been recording steadily for decades since his emergence in the 1980s. Unfortunately, not all of those recordings have been available on these shores. Omnivore Recordings is proud to correct this with Sketches In Spain, 19 tracks pulled from two albums recorded and only available in Spain. From originals to covers of Three Dog Night s "Never Been To Spain" and Los Bravos "Black Is Black," these recordings are the perfect evolution and compliment to The Dream Syndicate s work on their classic albums.)

17. X-“MORE FUN IN THE NEW WORLD” (EXPANDED & REMASTERED EDITION 1983/2014) (7/1)
