Morris Hardy - best known as frontman for Southern psych-rockers Dead Confederate as well as a member of the collaborative supergroup Diamond Rugs - has completed his debut solo album Audition Tapes, and it's slated for release on July 30th on Dangerbird.

Recorded at Playground Sound Studios in Nashville, TN with Cosmic Thug production team Justin Collins and Adam Landry, the sessions behind Audition Tapes came to be with the help of a variety of Morris' talented circle of friends who dropped by to lend a hand, including Delta Spirit s Matt Vasquez, Black Lips/Diamond Rugs guitarist Ian Saint Pe, steel guitarist Matt Pistol Stossel, keyboardist Thayer Serrano, and drummer Julian Dorio (The Whigs).

Audition Tapes finds Morris abundantly inspired, oftentimes invoking the grand spirits of Elliot Smtih, Alex Chilton or fellow Georgian Vic Chesnutt. On songs such as Quit Diggin , Hard Stuff and especially the gorgeous title track, listeners are treated to intimate, fragile performances, so informal that we are invited to hear creaks and count-offs, finger taps on guitar strings and other warm and extraneous studio noise.

Now he is back with a new band -- extreme, heavy, intense. In summer 2012 he was invited by the A L'arme Festival for a special gig with Swiss musicians Michael Wertmüller (drums) and Marino Pliakas (ebass) (those two form the group Full Blast with Caspar's father and free-jazz legend Peter Brötzmann). The show went so well that they decided to continue doing music together, record an album and tour. In spring 2013, Nohome played some gigs in Russia and the Moers Festival. Improvised music, noise, guitar walls, industrial, and jazz meet and get a performative enhancement through special guest FM Einheit (ex-Einstürzende Neubauten) on two pieces. Recorded live at Radialsystem V, Berlin, August 29th, 2012. Mastered by Martin Siewert (Wien), March 2013.

Korody, in the midst of building his Candle Recording Studio (hosting Dusted, Owen Pallet, Absolutely Free), and Crowe (moving on from the sought-after lo fi/hazy project, Heaven) formed a shoegaze song mill and began assembling a collage of sounds and musicians. The upcoming debut album, ''Untitled'', took shape naturally by creating groups of songs between three different studios over the course of a year. Led by Korody on production, players were added both live and on the album including Noel Webb and Ben Reinhartz on drums, as well as Kyle Connolly and Richard Stanley on guitar. Beliefs have spent the last year opening for bands such as A Place To Bury Strangers, Porcelain Raft, Disappears, Lotus Plaza, Amen Dunes, The Men, Dusted, and Moon Duo.
